As the seventh generation of the Balk family to stand at the helm of this yard, it is fair to say things have changed around here since 1787. But the welcome you will receive from myself and the rest of the crew will be as warm as ever.

With the opening of our brand-new facilities in 2007, our reputation as one of the world’s finest yards for the rebuilding and refitting of large yachts has been confirmed. Owners say they enjoy having their boat overhauled with us because of the unique price quality ratio. And captains speak highly of their time spent here in historical Urk.

Balk Shipyard also builds major superstructure parts for leading yards and offers a full range of repair and maintenance services. We look forward to being of service.
